HVAC Estimator:
Project Analysis:
Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to understand the scope of work.
Cost Estimation:
Calculating material costs, labor hours, equipment needs, and potential subcontractor costs.
Bid Preparation:
Creating detailed and accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects, including both commercial and residential projects.
Vendor Communication:
Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability information.
Site Surveys:
Performing site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
Software Proficiency:
Utilizing computer estimating systems and other related software to streamline the estimating process.
Project Coordination:
Collaborating with other departments, such as design and project management, to ensure smooth project execution.
Maintaining Records:
Keeping accurate records of unit costs and project data for future reference.
Problem Solving:
Identifying and addressing potential issues that could impact project costs or timelines.
