About the Role As the Chief Estimator , you will lead our estimating department, ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of bids for large-scale commercial and industrial electrical projects. Your leadership will directly impact project wins and profitability, while strengthening our processes and team. What You’ll Do Lead and manage the estimating department, driving the preparation of competitive and profitable bids. Develop detailed cost estimates for large commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. Analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to determine scope, risks, and deliverables. Oversee preconstruction activities, collaborating with project managers and field teams. Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure the best pricing and partnerships. Continuously improve and implement estimating tools, workflows, and best practices. Mentor and develop junior estimators, fostering a high-performing team. What We’re Looking For 10+ years of electrical estimating experience, including significant experience on large-scale projects ($1M+). Expert knowledge of electrical systems, construction practices, and industry pricing. Proven leadership ability with experience managing teams and collaborating across departments. Intermediate to Expert Skills in estimating software and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
