What You Will Be Doing:

The Senior Conceptual Estimator will play a crucial role in the early stages of a construction project by providing preliminary cost estimates, facilitating informed decision-making, and contributing to project success by helping to keep costs within budget and align with design goals Process Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Qualification (RFQ), and internal pricing requests and facilitate broadcast announcements of bidding opportunities
Competently draft, proof, audit, and deliver both private and public proposals
Work with Project Executives, Marketing, and Accounting staff coordinating contributions into proposals
Scope sub-tier bids for completeness and compliance
Ensure company compliance with bidding regulations and goals of each project
Develop, prepare, coordinate, and execute presentations and proposals to existing or new clients
Develop and Prepare Work Scope by Trade Packages for Bidding Purposes
Operate and maintain proficiency in all internal estimating systems, technologies, and software
Minimize exposure and risk by complying with quality assurance controls
Promptly report changes (discoveries) in scope and revenue to Executive Leadership
Identify and execute strategic opportunities with a proposal to optimize the company’s position in securing the work
Complete a fully comprehensive takeoff of the plans and understand all Specifications, while compiling information for the SAGE Estimating report System
Review design plans and scopes for constructability and value engineering options
What You Need for this

Position:

Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture is preferred
5+ years’ experience in estimating commercial construction projects is required
Must have experience with Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposal handling
Must have a solid understanding of building construction, methods, materials, labor costing, market conditions, and trade practices
Proven experience with pre-construction phase activities on a CM contract, including client and designer meetings is required
Required software experience: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Project) and Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu, or similar plan viewing applications is required
Preferred software experience: Plan Swift, Kahua, Sage, iSqFt Benefits What’s In It for You
