Our client is seeking a Senior Construction Estimatorto join its growing team! If you have a keen eye for detail, aknack for numbers, and a passion for construction, this role is foryou! You will be responsible for all aspects of estimating the mostcomplex and large-scale jobs, from conceptual to detailed,including all phases of construction. This is a permanent,full-time position with the potential for relocation. You will beworking in a fast-paced, challenging environment where each daybrings new challenges and exciting opportunities.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze blueprints, specifications,proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and laborestimates for products, projects, or services.2. Conduct specialstudies to develop and establish standard hour and related costdata or effect cost reductions.3. Consult with clients, vendors,personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discussand formulate estimates and resolve issues.4. Confer withengineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors onchanges and adjustments to cost estimates.5. Prepare estimates usedby management for purposes such as planning, organizing, andscheduling work.6. Review material and labor requirements to decidewhether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchasecomponents.7. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and othernecessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration ofthe project.8. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers,contractors, and subcontractors.9. Set up cost monitoring andreporting systems and procedures.10. Establish and maintaintendering process, and conduct negotiations.

JobDetailsQualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience inestimating in commercial construction.2. Bachelor’s degree inconstruction management, engineering, or related field ispreferred.3. Proven experience in managing all aspects ofconstruction estimation, from conceptual to detailed, including allphases of construction.4. Strong negotiation skills, with a proventrack record of successfully negotiating contracts and bids.5.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You willbe liaising with various stakeholders, including clients, vendors,and team members, so the ability to communicate effectively iscrucial.6. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. You willneed to be able to analyze blueprints, specifications, and otherdocumentation to prepare accurate estimates.7. Proficiency inrelevant software, including estimation software, projectmanagement software, and Microsoft Office Suite.8. Familiarity withindustry standards and regulations.9. Ability to multitask andmanage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-pacedenvironment.10. A keen eye for detail. You will need to ensure thatall estimates are accurate and comprehensive.
