The Senior Estimator is responsible for leading the estimation process for commercial construction projects, ensuring accurate and timely cost assessments. This role involves collaborating with project teams, evaluating project specifications, and providing strategic insights during the preconstruction phase to support project success and profitability. Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and submission of accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required resources.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimation.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and services.
Review and analyze bid proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Present cost estimates to management and clients, providing insight into the estimation process and methodologies used.
Monitor project costs and perform value engineering to identify cost savings opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the commercial construction sector.
Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or similar role, with a strong understanding of preconstruction processes.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in cost analysis.
Proficient in estimation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
