Job Description
Multifamiy Constuction Estimator The Apartment Company Group Ocala, FL 34471 • Hybrid work J We are seeking an experienced and resourceful independent contractor to assist in obtaining detailed construction bids and cost estimates for a proposed apartment development project located in Ocala, Florida. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the construction industry and experience coordinating with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to gather accurate pricing information.
Responsibilities:
Identify and reach out to qualified general contractors and subcontractors in the Ocala, FL area. Collect and compare detailed bids and estimates for all phases of construction (sitework, infrastructure, utilities, structural, MEP, finishes, etc.). Coordinate with relevant professionals (e.g., architects, engineers) as needed to clarify project scope. Ensure bids include realistic timelines, material costs, labor costs, and contingency. Prepare a summary report comparing estimates with notes on reliability, scope coverage, and any gaps.
Requirements:
Proven experience in construction estimating, bidding, or project coordination. Familiarity with Florida construction standards and pricing. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple bid packages. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
Local knowledge of Ocala and connections with reputable contractors in the area. Experience with multi-family or apartment development projects.
