The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management and estimating processes is a plus, along with excellent project management skills. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure that all estimates align with project specifications and budgets. No experience needed, but you need to know the basics of electricity. Duties Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs. Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam to create and manage estimates. Analyze blueprints and project specifications to determine necessary resources and costs. Collaborate with project management teams to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information for accurate estimating. Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to stakeholders. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating or related field is essential. Proficiency in Bluebeam, or similar estimating software is preferred. Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices. Familiarity with electrical systems and components is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost estimation. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for interacting with clients and team members.
