The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and prepare accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule, contributing to the overall success of our construction projects. Duties Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid to create detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, and equipment. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data that may impact project costs. Prepare and present detailed estimates for contracts, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and related documentation. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols. Proficiency in estimating software, particularly HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate pricing. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
