Zarco Stucco Construction is a bondable local contractor specializing in stucco and EIFS systems, with over 30 years of experience serving South Florida. Our success is built on the strength of our team and their expertise in cost estimation, sales, project management, quality control, and safety. As we continue to grow, we are expanding our Estimating Department and seeking motivated individuals to join our team.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Junior Estimator to support our Sales and Estimating team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about construction and seeking long-term growth with an established contractor. This is a full-time office-based position and not eligible at this moment for remote work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review bid documents and get pricing for the required materials
- Prepare and Setup estimating sheet
- Perform Quantity takeoffs from drawings using Company Takeoff Software
- Assist in obtaining pricing from sub-contractors
- Attending Pre-bid meetings as needed
- Set up all final bid documents and make sure they are delivered on time
- Work collaboratively with the Chief Estimator, Director of Business Development, and other team members
- Any other items requested by the director of Business Development and chief estimator
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish bilingual preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings and ability to read plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management is a plus
- Experience with estimating or takeoff software is a plus
COMPENSATION
Annual salary range: $45,000 – $55,000 , based on experience Opportunity to grow with an expanding company Additional benefits to be discussed during the interview process .
