Position Summary:
We are seeking a Structural Estimator / Project Estimator with experience in shell construction for high-end residential, multifamily, and commercial projects. This role requires strong cost estimating skills, the ability to read structural plans, and proficiency with key estimating tools.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed take-offs for concrete, block, rebar, and other structural components. Develop accurate estimates for medium to large-scale shell construction projects. Prepare proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and project updates for clients and managers. Review blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the full scope of work. Coordinate with subcontractors and provide them with drawings and specifications for bidding. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while staying organized and results-driven.
Requirements:
Previous experience estimating construction projects (no minimum years required). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proficiency in Bluebeam and PlanSwift (MANDATORY). Strong understanding of structural drawings and specifications. Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. A degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field is a plus. Experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, StackCT, Esticom, or similar software is a plus.
