BAS Sales/Estimator Vantage Consulting Orlando, FL 32899
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive professional to fill a Sales and Estimating role The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building automation or mechanical systems sales, and will play a key role in driving growth by managing client relationships, preparing accurate bids, and overseeing technical sales processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively engage with contractors and clients to identify bid opportunities and serve as the primary point of contact for estimating activities. Conduct project take-offs, interpret technical specifications, and develop detailed bills of materials (BOM). Prepare and deliver technical sales proposals and quotations in a timely manner. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to better understand project scope, phases, and timelines. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to gather pricing and technical information. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities. Monitor and track sales performance, regularly reporting progress to leadership. Ensure seamless transition of project estimates and documents to operations teams for successful project execution. Support the development and implementation of value engineering strategies. Assist with system configuration and riser diagram preparation as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). High School diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background required. Minimum 5 years of experience in building automation, mechanical, or HVAC controls sales. Strong technical knowledge of building systems and controls. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general business software. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
