Position Overview:
As a Commercial Drywall Estimator with 5 years of experience, youwill play a pivotal role in our construction projects by accuratelyestimating costs associated with drywall installations forcommercial buildings. Your expertise will ensure that our projectsare competitively priced, profitable, and executed efficiently.
Responsibilities:
1.
Estimation:
Utilize your extensive knowledgeand experience to accurately estimate material, labor, andequipment costs for commercial drywall projects. 2.
BidPreparation:
Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids based onproject specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents. 3.
Cost Analysis:
Analyze project requirements and identify potentialcost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards.4.
Vendor and Subcontractor Management:
Collaborate with vendorsand subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials andservices. Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms. 5.
ProjectCoordination:
Work closely with project managers, architects, andother stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery ofestimates and bids. 6.
Risk Assessment:
Identify and evaluatepotential risks and uncertainties associated with projects, anddevelop strategies to mitigate them. 7.
Documentation:
Maintaindetailed records of estimates, bids, contracts, and other relevantdocuments. 8.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on industrytrends, market conditions, and emerging technologies tocontinuously improve estimating processes and methodologies.
Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in constructionmanagement, engineering, or a related field preferred. 2.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial drywallestimation. 3.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in estimating softwaresuch as Onscreen Takeoff/ QuickBid, Bluebeam, Planswift, or similartools. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, andbuilding codes. 4.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze projectrequirements, interpret drawings and specifications, and accuratelycalculate material and labor costs. 5.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability toeffectively communicate with team members, clients, vendors, andsubcontractors. 6. Attention to
Detail:
Keen attention to detailand accuracy in estimating and bidding processes. 7.
NegotiationSkills:
Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricingfrom vendors and subcontractors. 8.
