ESTIMATOR

to join their team.

The ideal person should have a B.A. in Civil Engineering and/orfour-year degree in construction or at 3-5 years experience inUnderground Utility Construction. ESTIMATOR RESPONSIBILITES

Create proposals for both simple and complex Request for Proposalofferings. Review and comment on all phases of constructiondocuments to incorporate standards during the document developmentprocess. Receive and evaluate quotes for applicable scopes andalignment with bid documents. Ability to provide pricing based onconceptual plans. Qualify vendor proposals to ascertain scopeduplication and/or omissions/exclusions. Work with consultants todevelop specifications for new projects, rehabilitation projects,and retrofits. Collaborate with the Pre-Construction team tofulfill project goals by negotiating/awarding projects to vendors(demonstrating proficient creativity, conflict resolution, andnegotiating abilities). Draft/Negotiate written Scopes of Work forSubcontractors and Material Suppliers to establish clearexpectations. Perform all other duties assigned and those that maybe necessary to achieve company and departmental goals.

ESTIMATORREQUIREMENTS

Mid-Large scale Federal/Municipal projects. Knowledgeof utility codes that are applicable to the scope of work. Highlevel of attention to detail and cost analysis when readingblueprints Proficient use of computer and estimating software.

Knowledge about means, methods, and materials used in constructionto determine the most cost-effective type of construction for aproject. Exceptional knowledge of building products, constructiondetails, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
