Our Plumbing Department is growing, and we’re looking for a Plumbing Coordinator/Estimator to help us deliver top-tier service from the first call to the final walkthrough. As the Plumbing Coordinator/Estimator , you’ll play a critical role in managing the full lifecycle of plumbing service and install projects—from the initial client request through completion. You’ll be the main point of contact for incoming job requests, responsible for gathering job details, creating accurate estimates, and facilitating communication between the office, field team, vendors, and clients. Once proposals are approved, you’ll coordinate materials, schedule work, and help keep each project running smoothly and on time. You’ll also support the team by maintaining project documentation, tracking progress, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Occasional on-site visits and in-home consultations will be part of the job.
Compensation:
$21.00 – $26.00 hourly
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. This may change slightly based on workload.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary contact for all inbound plumbing service and install inquiries Build strong client relationships through consistent and responsive communication Understand customer needs and provide clear, tailored solutions Send proposals and follow up to secure approvals and ensure satisfaction Identify upsell or add-on opportunities in collaboration with the field team Create accurate estimates for plumbing service calls, repairs, and installation projects Coordinate with plumbing managers and field techs to verify job scopes and site conditions Maintain pricing and material databases; update as needed based on vendor feedback Modify and resubmit proposals when project scope changes Order required plumbing materials, fixtures, and specialty items Track job progress and timelines; assist with internal scheduling coordination Keep detailed records of proposals, approvals, warranties, and project communications Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment and smooth execution
Requirements:
Basic understanding of plumbing systems and terminology (residential and light commercial) Ability to read and interpret plumbing job scopes, work orders, and basic construction documents Experience in creating estimates and job proposals, preferably in construction or trade services Knowledge of material takeoffs and ability to source plumbing materials and fixtures accurately Familiarity with vendor coordination, lead times, and basic procurement processes Ability to create and manage schedules, track project progress, and support field coordination Strong proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar) Experience with or ability to learn CRM, project management, or estimating software (e.g., ServiceTitan, ClickUp, Buildertrend) Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly Professional, client-focused demeanor in phone, email, and in-person interactions Comfortable conducting in-home consultations and job site visits as needed Previous field experience in the plumbing, HVAC, or construction industry is a strong plus High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or college education preferred Self-motivated, adaptable, and solution-oriented Enjoys working with both internal teams and clients
