Roof Estimator The Hyde Group Consulting West Palm Beach, FL 33405 Qualifications You must be familiar with a wide range of worksites, cost structures, and timelines Excellent plan and specification reading skills Proficient in Excel spreadsheets Scoping projects Strong communication skills A Bachelor’s degree is required 5+ Years in Residential & Commercial Roof Estimating West Palm Beach, FL 33403: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Responsibilities Your job duties include surveying potential worksites, collaborating with contractors, vendors, and labor agencies, and providing a comprehensive cost analysis for potential clients Every estimate needs to address all relevant governmental regulations Prepare and estimate budget costs by studying plans and specifications Conceptual budgeting Analyzing subcontractor proposal and scopes Preparation of RFIs and communication with professionals Quantity takeoffs, use of On-Screen Takeoff a plus
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Science/Management or related field. Minimum of five (5) years working experience as construction estimator. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, On-screen Takeoff, & Plan Swift among other Estimating software or other types of construction software programs. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills. Must be organized and able to manage all aspects of a construction project. Critical-thinker and problem-solver. Able to work with an establish Project team.
