Sr. Estimator – Commercial and Multifamily Construction Position Available In Palm Beach, Florida

Job Description:

The Sr. / Lead Estimator will play a vital role in the planningand execution of construction projects. This position requiresexceptional analytical abilities, a strong understanding ofconstruction practices and costs, and excellent communicationskills. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technicalexpertise, project management experience, and the ability to workcollaboratively with various stakeholders. Description Cost Estimation:

Conduct comprehensive cost estimationsfor construction projects, including material, labor, equipment,and subcontractor costs.

Project Analysis:

Evaluate project plans,specifications, and related documents to identify potential risks,discrepancies, and opportunities for value engineering.

BudgetDevelopment:

Collaborate with project managers and clients todevelop accurate and detailed budgets for proposed constructionprojects. Experience with

Conceptual Estimates Bid Preparation:

Prepare and submit well-organized and competitive bids in responseto project invitations, ensuring compliance with all requirements.

Vendor and Subcontractor Management:

Source, evaluate, andnegotiate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitivepricing and high-quality workmanship.

Value Engineering:

Collaborate with design teams and subcontractors to identifycost-saving alternatives without compromising project quality andfunctionality.

Project Coordination:

Work closely with projectmanagers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to providecost-related insights and recommendations throughout the projectlifecycle.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate recordsof cost estimates, bid documents, and other project-relatedinformation. Prepare reports and presentations as needed.

MarketResearch:

Stay updated on industry trends, construction materialcosts, labor rates, and market conditions to support accurateestimating and cost forecasting. Profile Bachelor’s degree inConstruction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, ora related field. Proven experience as a Preconstruction Estimatoror similar role in South Florida (REQUIRED) 10 years of estimatingexperience on large ground up and renovation projects ($25M)Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools. Strongknowledge of construction practices, codes, regulations, andindustry standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillswith meticulous attention to detail. Effective communication andnegotiation skills, with the ability to present complex informationclearly and concisely. Ability to work collaboratively in a teamenvironment and build strong relationships with clients, vendors,and subcontractors. Strong organizational and time managementabilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meetdeadlines. Familiarity with construction contracts, bid processes,and legal requirements.
