Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and tenant improvements. This role involves interpreting project plans and specifications, evaluating labor, material, and time requirements, and collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates. Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for all construction divisions (CSI codes). Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors. Evaluate potential project risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid reviews. Maintain estimating databases and tools to ensure pricing accuracy. Collaborate with project management and field teams to ensure a smooth project handoff. Monitor actual project costs versus estimates and recommend adjustments for future estimates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction (tenant improvement, retail, office, healthcare, etc.). Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or ProEst . Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry practices. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Excellent math and analytical skills. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Highly organized with keen attention to detail.

$80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
