your career at the same time? Come and join our family. Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Operations Manager for our Fire Sprinkler Division. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in all aspects of the fire sprinkler trade, including fire sprinkler service, fire alarm systems, and new construction fire sprinkler projects. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on estimating experience, and a background in business operations. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Fire Sprinkler Service, Fire Alarm Department, and New Construction Fire Sprinkler Division to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Provide leadership and support to department managers, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
- Monitor project progress, coordinate resources, and resolve operational challenges to meet project deadlines and budget goals.
- Establish, build, and maintain strong business relationships with customers, contractors, architects, and designers to secure future business opportunities.
- Develop and implement processes to improve workflow efficiency, productivity, and cost control within the division.
- Implement a tracking system for effectively monitoring and reporting on departmental performance, project statuses, and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at industry meetings, customer visits, and networking events, some of which may be outside normal business hours.
- Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure materials are readily available for ongoing projects.
- Ensure the division meets or exceeds annual quotas assigned during the budgeting process.
- Maintain organized project files and manage special projects as needed.
- Assist in training and mentoring employees to enhance team performance and professional growth.
Responsible for preparing estimates for all new construction fire sprinkler projects, including reviewing blueprints, performing take-offs, identifying necessary materials and equipment, assessing hazard classifications, and submitting competitive bids and proposals Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire sprinkler system design, installation, and service.
- Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler materials, fixtures, and components.
- Extensive experience in estimating fire sprinkler projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
- NICET certification (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong telephone customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and detail oriented.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and anticipates needs.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean DMV record.
