Estimator Precision Paving & Excavation, Inc. Fort Pierce, FL 34982 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asphalt paving estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget, while also maintaining high standards of quality. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for asphalt paving projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and constraints. Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible terms for contracts. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Provide support in developing project schedules and timelines based on estimated costs. Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects. Requirements Proven experience in asphalt paving construction estimating or a related field Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices within the construction industry. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
