The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by preparing accurate cost estimates for projects, ensuring that all aspects of the build are accounted for. You will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver precise pricing and maintain effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead. Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine necessary resources and timelines. Collaborate with project management teams to ensure alignment on project scope and budget. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing. Utilize software tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam for estimating processes. Monitor ongoing costs throughout the project to maintain budget compliance. Conduct site visits as needed to gather information for estimates and assess project feasibility. Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost control. Ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively with contractors and suppliers. Familiarity with construction contracts and pricing strategies is preferred.
