Marine Estimator Cove Points Construction LLC Edgewater, FL 32132 We are seeking a Marine Estimator to join our team on-site in Edgewater, Florida. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and is comfortable working primarily at a desk while interacting with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for marine-related construction projects. Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to identify necessary materials, labor, and time requirements. Frequently make calls to vendors to obtain pricing and availability information. Effectively prioritize and manage multiple estimates simultaneously based on urgency and importance. Clearly communicate estimate details to customers and answer questions thoroughly and professionally. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure alignment and accuracy in estimating. Maintain organized records of estimates, pricing, and communications.
Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required (formulas, formatting, general data management). Marine construction experience is a strong plus but not required. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to shift focus between tasks as priorities change. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable working at a computer for extended periods.
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – especially in explaining complex estimates to clients. Ability to make independent judgment calls regarding estimate urgency and workflow.
