Job Description
Junior Estimator CD Mechanical Athens, GA 30603 Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on MEP experience, a recent college grad, or a field technician or tradesperson who’s looking to transition into a technical, detail-oriented office role in estimating. As a Junior Estimator, you’ll work closely with our Estimating and HVAC Project Management teams to support the preparation of accurate cost estimates for upcoming projects.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for HVAC scopes of work Review project drawings, specifications, and related documents Perform quantity takeoffs and input data into estimating software and spreadsheets Help manage bid documentation and vendor/subcontractor quotes Collaborate with senior estimators and project teams to ensure accurate proposals Maintain organized digital records of project estimates and revisions
Qualifications:
Background in MEP trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) — hands-on field experience preferred Strong interest in estimating and project costing Proficiency with Excel (must be comfortable with formulas, spreadsheets, and data entry) Experience with Build-Ops or similar construction management software is a plus, but not required
