Standard Overview:

The Field Estimator supports electrical distribution projects by conducting on-site inspections and providing accurate cost estimates. This role is essential in evaluating existing infrastructure and planning upgrades or new installations.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site visits to assess the current conditions of electrical distribution systems, including poles, wires, transformers, and related equipment. Gather detailed information and measurements about the existing infrastructure, such as equipment specifications, materials, and dimensions. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to estimate the cost of repair, maintenance, upgrades, or new installations based on field data and project requirements. Estimate material, labor, and total project costs Support budget development and vendor coordination Ensure safety and regulatory compliance Create detailed reports and cost summaries

Qualifications:

High school diploma (Associate degree preferred) Basic knowledge of electrical distribution and fieldwork Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills Computer proficiency (reporting tools, GIS a plus) Good communication and adaptability Commitment to safety practices
