Evans, GA Key Responsibilities:
Review architectural plans, specifications, and scopes of work to develop accurate cost estimates. Conduct material quantity take-offs and determine labor and time requirements. Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors for competitive pricing. Translate buyer selections into change orders within the estimating system. Maintain cost databases and material price files. Generate purchase orders from approved budgets in construction management software. Provide budgeting support and cost analysis for upcoming projects. Ensure compliance with internal standards and industry best practices.
What We Are Looking For:
Understanding of residential construction systems, materials, and workflows. Ability to read blueprints and perform detailed take-offs. Familiarity with construction management software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Effective communicator, both written and verbal. Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma required; degree in Construction Management or related field preferred. At least 2 years of residential estimating experience strongly preferred. Experience with homebuilding platforms like BuilderTrend, BuildPro, Hyphen, or MarkSystems is a plus.
