What You’ll Get to Do The Estimator position located in Newnan, GA (onsite) is focused on providing detailed estimates to our customers in a timely manner. Regularly work from architectural drawings and specifications, shop drawings or elevation take-offs and reports to the Estimating Manager. This role is perfect for an individual who is organized, a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects, and prioritize workload. Job responsibilities include:

Evaluate bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that the required data is obtained to successfully bid and win the project. Estimators must aggressively follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received. Estimators also work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business. Achieve acceptable sales and margin levels. Monitor actual vs. estimated costs and work with estimating manager to adjust standards accordingly. Provide detailed estimates to our customers in a timely manner. Work from architectural drawings and specifications, shop drawings or elevation take-offs. Provide consultation, coordination, and assistance to our customers, sales force and internal personnel. What We Are Looking For 3+ years prior experience estimating mid-size projects from architectural drawings and specifications. Ability to read, interpret, & understand architectural drawings and specifications and provide detailed take offs and estimates that incorporate different building envelope solutions. Experience using electronic estimating tools, including estimating software, on-screen take-off tools and Excel spread sheets. Knowledge of aluminum glazing systems & their applications.
