Estimator Korn Ferry International – 3.4 Atlanta, GA Job Details $90,000 – $110,000 a year 22 hours ago Qualifications Civil engineering Military Mid-level Contracts 4 years Construction estimating Full Job Description • This company is specifically seeking candidates with at least 4 years of U.S. military experience (staff officers (S3s, XOs), engineers, or logistics leaders with contract or procurement exposure are ideal) • Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for an Estimator for their northeastern Atlanta GA location. The office is approximately 20 miles from downtown Atlanta. This is a fast-paced and rapidly growing company with an exciting road ahead -in the process of implementing and refining systems, this is a chance to join a forward-thinking company at a pivotal moment in its evolution. Experience and knowledge of large-scale projects (ideally in infrastructure (water), utilities or construction) will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!
Compensation:
$90,000-110,000 + bonus (up to 15% paid quarterly)
What You Will Do:
Develop competitive, responsive estimates to meet client needs. Review drawings, specifications and project site conditions; record findings and solicit input from field operations to generate production assumptions Review “take-off” quantities to ensure accuracy of data Compile cost of labor, materials, equipment, and other applicable factors Communicate with owners, subcontractors, public and private entities to ensure completeness of estimate Analyze alternative solutions and construction methods to increase competitiveness of the bid Utilize existing cost history for pricing analysis Present estimate and participate in bid reviews with senior management Perform turn over meetings with operational teams to ensure a seamless transition of means and methods Develop and maintain business relationships to increase bid opportunities in the regional market
Education and Work Experience:
At least 4 years of US Military experience required ( staff officers (S3s, XOs), engineers, or logistics leaders with contract or procurement exposure are ideal) Basic knowledge of estimating principles (labor, cost codes, subs, etc) required; preferably 5+ years of estimating experience (infrastructure or water projects knowledge is a plus) Knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction principles and equipment capabilities preferred
