Job Description
This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Cost Engineer for our Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (HJAIA) office . Be involved in projects with our Aviation PM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of project office engineering, cost control, and schedule analysis. Ability to assist in project management, staff scheduling and project documentation. Ability to review contractor schedules utilizing commercially available software is preferred. Knowledge of basic cost estimating and cost tracking procedures required. Familiarity with transportation, transit, elevated rail and/or tunnels preferred but not required. Familiarity with CTA, Illinois DOT, Chicago DOT, Illinois Tollway and/or Chicago Department of Aviation documentation procedures preferred. Cost Engineer to assist in monitoring and managing several concurrent transit agency projects. Experience in the management of various project delivery systems preferred. Should be familiar with analyzing, negotiating and writing contract change orders. Work would be typical of assistant project manager/cost engineer in scope. Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience. 5-7+ years of related experience. Experience as an office/cost engineer on major transportation projects. Ability to work on several concurrent projects simultaneously required. Flexibility and maintaining a team approach to the work is essential. Excellent verbal and written skills are a plus. Ability to work in this country immediately required Preferred Qualifications Certification
