The Estimator will be responsible for preparingcomplete, accurate estimates for all contract types (lump sum, timeand material, etc.). This position is responsible for evaluatingbid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we know everythingrequired to successfully bid and win the project. Provideaggressive follow-up with our clients to receive feedback on ourproposals. Responsibilities of this

Position:

Prepare detailedproject cost estimates. Foster relationships with key Clients.

Communication with subcontractors and suppliers Attend on-sitepre-bid/proposal conferences and site visits Develop and reviewsubcontractor scopes of work and accept, review, and analyzesubcontractor quotes for best value Prepare project bid statusreports and ensure compliance with all specifications and contractStatements of Work and Bid Invitations Present cost estimates tomeet customer proposals, providing consideration for general andspecial conditions Prepare scope specifications and requirements,prepare and inputs project schedules, perform quantity take-offs,prepare cost summary sheets, and input quantities into estimatingsoftware Maintain an accurate, current database cost codes ofaccounts for historical data Utilize the appropriate company andindustry historical data for pricing estimates. RequirementsBachelors degree in Construction Management or Civil EngineeringPreferred related Estimating experience. Experience in deepfoundations or heavy civil works is a plus. Project estimatorskills that include performing basic engineering calculations,being familiar with engineering terminology and effectivelycommunicate with Engineers, Project Managers, and vendors. Stronganalytical skills Excellent communication skills Strong attentionto detail Ability to read, understand and organize constructionplans and specifications Strong organizational and problem-solvingskills Ability to work independently and with minimal structurewhile exercising sound judgment. Strong ability to multitask,prioritizes, and works well under pressure to meet establisheddeadlines Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access,Project, Power Point, Word, Outlook).
