Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, particularly in heavy civil projects including earthwork, grading, utilities, and municipal infrastructure. This role is crucial for preparing accurate cost estimates and ensuring the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects including road, highway, and stormwater systems.
Utilize AGTEK and Bluebeam software to analyze project plans and specifications.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project scope and requirements.
Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions and gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
Prepare and maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference and benchmarking.
Participate in value engineering and cost reduction initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for heavy civil construction projects.
Proficiency in AGTEK and Bluebeam software.
Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials related to earthwork, grading, and utilities.
