Estimator United Structures, LLC 153 Wight Road, Cairo, GA 39828 United Structures, the leading Cold-Formed Steel Truss Fabricator/Erector has an immediate opening for an Estimator. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude to join our sales team in promoting and providing customized solutions and services to our customers. Our team’s ideal candidate: Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in 3D modeling, Revit, AutoCAD and good math skills Is experienced in structural framing, light gauge trusses and wood framing Is experienced in using proprietary truss design software Has a working knowledge of engineering principles and the application of loads Has understanding of general building construction submittal and approval process Is capable of planning and conducting tasks requiring independent judgement Is detail oriented, highly organized and has the ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions Has proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, Bluebeam and basic software and web based application Has excellent written and verbal communication skills Is an active learner with a can-do attitude that is proactive, self-motivated and enjoys a fast paced dynamic atmosphere Has a degree in Architecture or Engineering Technology or has general building construction experience

Responsibilities Process Invitations to Bid Utilize software tools like Bluebeam for accurate pricing and cost control. Review and markup design drawings with scope of work required for bids. Model trusses using Vertex and design trusses using Truss D&E to comply with contract documents. Maintain effective communication with customers and provide updates on project progress. Apply engineering and architectural principles to enhance project accuracy and efficiency. Continuously gather information on/ from customers and competitors that will help sales. Assist Sales Department with creating design-build presentations, opportunities, corporate brochures and designs.
