About the Position Pond is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator Manager to join our dynamic and growing team in Peachtree Corners, GA. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with 8+ years of experience as a manager in general contractor estimating and team leadership to contribute to a collaborative, innovative, and forward-thinking organization. In this leadership role, the successful candidate will manage all aspects of our Estimating Department, lead the team in securing new projects, and maintain strong working relationships with Program Managers, Operations, and Project teams. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing preconstruction activities and acting as a critical liaison to our Business Development team. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across multiple markets and geographies—expanding your expertise and impact within the industry. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Estimating Department, including bid strategy and execution. Supervise and mentor the estimating team, ensuring accurate and competitive bids. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across project and program management teams. Support business development through client engagement and proposal development. Develop and maintain strong subcontractor and vendor relationships. Ensure thorough knowledge of Pond’s capabilities and historical project data. Travel as needed (approx. 20%) for business development, project site visits, and team coordination. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field—or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 8 years of cost estimating experience, including 3 years as team manager. Background in general contracting or subcontracting within the industrial sector. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite tools. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, multitask, and produce high-quality work independently. Passion for continuous learning and professional development. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish. Mechanical or electrical background. Experience with CRM tools such as Deltek, Autodesk, or similar platforms.
