The Estimating Manager will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality estimates that align with project goals. Duties Oversee the estimating process for construction projects from inception to completion. Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to prepare detailed cost estimates. Conduct thorough analysis of project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine pricing strategies. Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure estimates reflect realistic timelines and resource allocation. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and pricing. Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators, fostering a collaborative team environment. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in estimating. Requirements Proven experience in estimating within the construction industry, with a strong focus on cost control. Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Solid negotiation skills with experience in contract discussions. Ability to analyze complex data sets related to pricing and contracts. Familiarity with construction site operations and requirements is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on teamwork.
