Job Summary:
Parker Young Construction is seeking a dedicated and experienced Institutional Restoration Estimator to join our specialized Institutional Division in Norcross, GA. In this key role, you will cultivate strong relationships with client points of contact within Government, Educational, and Healthcare institutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the complete restoration process for their facilities, from meticulous initial estimates through successful project completion and accurate billing. As the primary liaison, you will ensure exceptional client satisfaction and the efficient execution of restoration projects within these specialized sectors.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the main point of contact for assigned institutional clients (Government, Educational, and Healthcare), building trust and long-term collaborative partnerships. Maintain clear, consistent, and proactive communication with clients regarding project scope, schedules, progress updates, and any potential challenges. Conduct thorough site assessments at institutional facilities to evaluate damage, understand specific operational needs and constraints, and develop customized restoration strategies. Address client inquiries, concerns, and specific institutional requirements with professionalism and efficiency.
Specialized Estimating and Proposal Development:
Accurately assess damage to institutional properties, including water, fire, storm, and mold damage, considering the unique complexities and regulations of these sectors. Develop detailed and competitive cost estimates using industry-standard software (e.g., Xactimate, Symbility), incorporating any specific institutional requirements or compliance standards. Prepare comprehensive and professional proposals outlining the scope of work, pricing structures tailored for institutional clients, and realistic timelines. Present and clearly explain estimates and proposals to institutional stakeholders, addressing specific questions and negotiating terms while adhering to institutional procurement processes.
Institutional Project Oversight and Coordination:
Collaborate closely with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors, ensuring seamless coordination and high-quality work production that minimizes disruption to institutional operations. Proactively monitor project progress, anticipate potential challenges specific to institutional environments (e.g., security protocols, operational sensitivities), and implement effective solutions. Ensure strict adherence to all relevant safety regulations, institutional policies, and compliance standards throughout the restoration process. Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality and ensure alignment with client expectations and institutional requirements.
Institutional Billing and Financial Management:
Prepare precise and timely invoices based on completed work and contractual agreements, adhering to institutional billing procedures. Diligently track project costs, ensuring projects remain within allocated budgets and comply with institutional financial guidelines. Work collaboratively with clients and insurance adjusters, navigating institutional payment processes and documentation requirements. Maintain meticulous and well-organized project documentation, adhering to any specific institutional record-keeping standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience. 5 years of experience in commercial restoration estimating, with specific experience working with Government, Educational, or Healthcare institutions preferred. Proven success in developing and presenting commercial restoration estimates, ideally within the institutional sector. Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Xactimate, Symbility). Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and relevant building codes, with an awareness of the specific regulations and requirements within Government, Educational, and Healthcare facilities. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse institutional stakeholders. Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities, capable of managing complex projects within institutional timelines. Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications, with a keen understanding of institutional facility layouts and systems. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in navigating the unique challenges of institutional restoration projects. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
