S_164219 A Plumbing estimator prepares specific schematics, design layout, and construction document estimates for significant building projects. The estimator is responsible for estimating the costs of various repair or installation projects to ensure no surprises when work begins.
They might be called on to estimate expenses needed for an expansion, including new fixtures, pipe materials, and labor.

Responsibilities:

Develop detailed plumbing estimates for commercial projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and drawings to determine the scope of work.
Calculate material, labor, and equipment costs, factoring in project complexity and timelines.
Work with engineers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and ensure accurate pricing.
Prepare and submit competitive bids for commercial plumbing projects.
Ensure that estimates comply with plumbing codes and regulations.
Identify and manage project costs to ensure profitability.

Qualifications:

Must be proficient in reading blueprints, estimating software, and Microsoft Office (Excel).
Understanding of plumbing codes, materials, and construction practices.
High school diploma or GED.
