The Electrical Estimator is responsible for evaluating and estimating the costs associated with electrical construction projects, ensuring that all project specifications and requirements are met. This role involves collaboration with project managers, engineers, and contractors to prepare accurate cost forecasts and proposals for both industrial and commercial electrical projects. Key Responsibilities Review project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for electrical projects.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information for estimating.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and overhead for various electrical projects.
Analyze historical data to improve future estimates and project bids.
Negotiate and manage supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Qualifications 5+ years of experience as an electrical estimator in industrial and commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
AutoCAD is preffered, but not required.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
