Requirements:

3+ years of Civil and Ground up construction experience. Experience with grading, earthwork, underground utilities, design-build construction (recreation, municipal, commercial, industrial and landfill)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing cost estimates for various construction projects, with a focus on civil infrastructure, underground utilities, and grading. This role requires a strong understanding of project specifications and the ability to collaborate with project managers and engineers to deliver precise estimates that meet client and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects including civil, commercial, and industrial works.
Utilize software tools such as HCSS, AGTEK, and Bluebeam to create accurate estimations and project plans.
Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
Evaluate proposals and negotiate costs with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
Monitor project costs and provide reports to management on variances and potential cost savings.
Assist in the development of project budgets and financial projections.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing to enhance estimating accuracy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, preferably with ground-up and civil projects.
Strong knowledge of estimating software including HCSS, AGTEK, and Bluebeam.
Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to municipal, commercial, industrial, and landfill projects.
Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
