The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by preparing accurate cost estimates for various projects. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management, cost control, and the ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers. The Estimator will utilize software tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop precise pricing models that align with project specifications. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Utilize HeavyBid software to analyze project specifications and develop pricing strategies. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for estimates. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data relevant to project costs. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms. Monitor project budgets and provide cost control measures throughout the construction process. Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques that may impact estimating practices. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing calculations. Ability to negotiate effectively with various stakeholders in the construction process. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols is a plus. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.
