Gulf Coast TMC is looking for a Projects Estimator to join our growing team in Clinton, LA — or remotely, if you’ve got the right experience and drive. We’re a custom systems integrator in the Oil & Gas space, and this role is all about building accurate, intelligent cost estimates for electrical and control system projects. You’ll work with customer drawings, internal designs, and proprietary AI-powered tools to generate project BOMs and pricing data. What You’ll Be Doing Creating BOMs from customer-provided drawings/specs and internal concept designs Selecting appropriate components based on function and fit Generating detailed cost estimates Working with vendors to source pricing and lead times Collaborating with Engineering, Sales, and other internal teams Communicating with customers for design clarifications and Q&A Tools You’ll Use Excel (you should be fast and fluent) CRM systems CAD viewers (to review electrical/control schematics) Our own AI-powered proposal generation tool (don’t worry — we’ll train you)

What We’re Looking For:

Experience & Background:

2-5 years in electrical or electronic estimating Industrial or technical background strongly preferred Engineering degree not required, but Industrial Engineering is a big plus Familiarity with control panels, instrumentation, or electrical systems is helpful

Personality Fit:

Sharp and organized Excellent computer skills (Excel especially) Fast learner with strong attention to detail Meets deadlines without excuses

This is a full-time role based out of Clinton, LA, a rural, no-traffic town just: 30 minutes from Zachary, LA 45 minutes from Baton Rouge Many of our team members have found Clinton to be a great alternative to commuting downtown. We’ll also consider remote candidates with the right experience and setup.
