The ideal candidate will need to possess strong skills in commercial roofing estimating and project management, with a proven ability to negotiate effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that our projects are accurately priced and managed from the initial bid through to completion. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. Duties Review and interpret blueprints and specifications to assess project requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment necessary for construction projects. Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions and gather necessary data for accurate estimations. Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and correspondence related to projects. Consistently meets project deadlines. Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects using Microsoft Excel. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to maintain cost management. Provide support in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects. Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids. Experience and Qualifications Experience as an estimator in the construction industry is preferred. Familiarity with roofing and construction site operations. Strong skills in blueprint reading and specification reading are essential. Excellent mathematical skills with attention to detail for accuracy in estimating costs. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Obtains a valid driver’s license. Comfortable with working at elevated heights. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel software is highly desirable.
