What You’ll Do:

As a Civil Construction Estimator , you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our projects by developing accurate cost estimates and assisting in preconstruction planning. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Prepare detailed cost estimates for concrete paving, earthwork, drainage, and heavy highway projects Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software ( HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Agtek, AutoCAD, or similar tools ) Analyze plans, blueprints, and contract specifications to ensure accurate project scoping Develop bid proposals that align with DOT, municipal, and private contract requirements Solicit, review, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing for competitive bidding Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to refine estimates Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value engineering solutions Assist with project scheduling, risk assessment, and budget forecasting Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid reviews to ensure project success Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction regulations
