Pressure Vessel Estimator 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Montz, LA 70068 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the fabrication process by accurately assessing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of fabrication management, and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors. Responsibilities Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents related to pipe systems and ASME code vessels. Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractors for pipe fitting and fabrication work. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate project planning and execution. Maintain a database of historical costs, vendor pricing, and estimating standards. Ensure all estimates comply with applicable codes, including ASME Section VIII, Division 1 and B31.3. Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve optimal cost control. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients. Experience Proven experience in pipe fitting/fabrication estimating or a related role in a fabrication or industrial setting. Familiarity with construction site operations and processes is essential. Strong background in construction management principles is preferred. Proficiency in cost control methodologies and practices is highly desirable. Experience using estimating software, AutoCAD, COMPRESS, or similar tools is a plus. Strong knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (especially Section VIII) and relevant piping codes (e.g., ASME

B31.1, B31.3

). Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders in the construction industry.
