Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Project Manager/Estimator with experience in steel fabrication or a related construction trade. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking for a long-term career with growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret engineer-designed drawings to prepare accurate steel take-offs. Compile material, subcontractor, and vendor pricing into detailed cost estimates for client proposals. Maintain clear and timely communication with clients regarding estimates, changes, and project timelines. Coordinate with clients and internal teams to meet project deliverables and deadlines. Maintain current schedules for ongoing projects and track future work commitments.
Qualifications:
Experience in steel fabrication processes including material processing, fitting, welding, CNC machinery, and equipment operation. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical and structural drawings. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of project planning, scheduling, and budgeting principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Technical Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Structural Material Manager. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus but not required.
