Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Construction Estimator to join our preconstruction team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing bid documentation, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, construction knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities for the Estimator role:

Prepare Detailed Estimates:

Perform quantity takeoffs, unit pricing, and cost analyses based on blueprints and project specifications.

Manage Bid Process:

Set up bid spreadsheets, post documents, and ensure subcontractors receive updates and revisions. Coordinate with

Subcontractors:

Solicit bids, respond to pricing inquiries, and maintain subcontractor databases across multiple regions.

Project Handoff:

Assemble final estimate packages and supporting documents for seamless project transition to Project Managers.

Market Research & Analysis:

Monitor cost trends, materials pricing, and economic indicators impacting construction costs.

Qualifications for the Estimator role:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 2 years of relevant estimating experience Proficiency in Excel, Word, Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat, and online takeoff software (e.g., ProEst, BuildingConnected) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to interpret blueprints and construction documents effectively
