We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our growing team and contribute to our expanding portfolio of public and private sector projects.
Responsibilities:
Analyze bid documents, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate electrical cost estimates. Attend pre-bid meetings, perform site visits, and interpret scope for competitive proposals. Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for labor, material, and equipment. Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to validate assumptions and address scope gaps. Prepare value engineering alternatives and risk assessments for complex proposals. Ensure all estimates adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards. Support bid strategies aligned with Emmaty’s strategic growth in the federal, municipal, and commercial markets.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical estimating (commercial, institutional, or federal projects preferred). Field experience or journeyman/master electrical license is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction sequencing, and relevant codes (NEC, NFPA, etc.). Proficiency in estimation software such as Trimble Accubid, ConEst, Accubid , or equivalent. Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with a proactive and collaborative work ethic.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with federal and state RFP and design-build proposal requirements. Experience in sustainable energy systems such as solar PV , EV charging , or microgrids . Understanding of cybersecurity considerations in electrical scopes (desirable for defense/DoD work).
