Project Manager/Estimator Mainely Repairs & Remodels, LLC. Sabattus, ME 04280 • Hybrid work Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill a hybrid role as Project Designer / Manager / Estimator . This position requires a well-rounded professional with a blend of design skills, project management experience, and estimating knowledge. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and our in-house team to bring residential projects from concept to completion—on time and on budget. Key Responsibilities Design Meet with clients to understand project goals, budgets, and design preferences. Produce conceptual and detailed design drawings (hand or software-generated). Develop and present material, finish, and layout options. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and subcontractors as needed. Project Management Manage day-to-day operations of multiple residential construction projects. Develop project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion. Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors. Conduct site visits to oversee quality, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction. Estimating Prepare accurate and detailed project estimates and proposals. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids. Track project costs and budgets, and prepare change orders when necessary. Assist in value engineering and cost-saving alternatives. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in residential construction (design, management, estimating). Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Chief Architect, or similar. Solid understanding of residential construction methods and materials. Strong budgeting and cost estimation skills. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Nice to Have Degree or certification in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. Familiarity with local building codes and permit processes. Hands-on construction experience.
