The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to accurately prepare cost estimates for construction projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are financially viable and completed within budget. Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze project plans and specifications to determine cost structures.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and overhead.
Conduct quantity takeoffs to assess the amount of materials required for projects.
Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to establish project budgets.
Perform risk assessments to identify potential cost overruns and budgetary concerns.
Utilize CAD software to interpret technical drawings and plans accurately.
Implement value engineering principles to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of estimates and project documentation.
Prepare and submit bids and proposals to clients.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of project management principles and budgeting practices.
Proficiency in quantity takeoff and construction management techniques.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
