We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role assisting in bids and management of civil projects. You will work closely with project managers to ensure that all estimates are thorough, precise and competitive. Duties Prepare detailed take-off cost estimates for construction projects, by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and timelines for projects and identify areas of potential risk. Research and assess pricing trends and negotiate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Provide support in contract negotiations by preparing detailed pricing proposals. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects. Qualifications 10 years’ experience in construction estimating, cost control, and project management principles. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of cost control methods and project management practices. Ability to develop and effectively communicate pricing strategies. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
