The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately assessing project costs and preparing detailed estimates. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of construction management, and the ability to negotiate contracts effectively. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure that all estimates align with project goals and budgets. Responsibilities Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects. Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create accurate estimates. Collaborate with project management teams to assess project scope and requirements. Conduct site visits to gather information on existing conditions and project feasibility. Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best rates for materials and services. Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects. Monitor changes in project scope or specifications that may affect costs and adjust estimates accordingly. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
