Direct Hire Position Summary:
The Business Development and Estimator will be a key member of Leadership Team. This dual-role position is responsible for driving company growth through strategic business development, estimating new projects, and overseeing sales and marketing initiatives. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong client relationships, identify new market opportunities, and support the achievement of annual sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of the company’s sales and business growth strategies Identify and pursue new project opportunities in existing and emerging markets Prepare accurate project estimates, including materials, labor, and time requirements Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and industry partners Represent the company at networking events, industry trade shows, and client meetings Collaborate with project managers, field staff, and leadership to ensure alignment of sales and operational goals Oversee marketing initiatives, including digital campaigns, branding, and proposal development Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic planning Contribute to Leadership Team meetings with insight and recommendations for company-wide growth
Qualifications:
Proven experience in sales, estimating, or business development within construction, coatings, or a related industry Strong project estimation skills and understanding of commercial construction processes Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Customer-focused with a commitment to service excellence Self-motivated and aligned with the company’s mission and core values
Preferred Experience:
5+ years of experience in a similar role Experience with waterproofing, coatings, or specialty subcontracting Familiarity with CRM systems and estimation software
