STEEL DETAILER

GPAC is partnered with a well-establisheddetailing firm to hire an experienced Steel Detailer to help takeon the increasing work load. Our client is a company that wascreated to be the go to name in Steel detailing for Steelfabricators, GC’s, and Steel erectors for timely and accuratestructural, miscellaneous, and ornamental metal projects. Thereabilities rage across the construction industry, serving thecommercial, industrial, highrise, agriculture, public works, PEMB,and education construction industry. Due to continued growth ourclient company needs to hire a motivated talented steel detailerwith strong computer skills and experience with Structural,Miscellaneous, and ornamental metals. As a Steel Detailer, you willbe responsible for creating structural steel drawings forfabrication and erection crews. Looking for someone who wants togrow with the company as there will be room for advancement.

SteelDetailing Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Detail shopfabrication drawings for structural beams, columns, stairs,handrails, and trusses. Generating a bill of materials for shopdrawings Coordinate drawings from design to release for fabricationWorking with project engineers to clarify approval drawings ReviewRFI’s Ensuring drawings are in compliance with AISC standards ofsteel construction BIM modeling Preferred Qualifications ExperienceTekla, Auto

CAD, SDS/2, BIM

modeling software Proficient in Word,Excel, Bluebeam. FabSuite / Tekla EPM (estimating/productionsoftware for structural steel fabricators) Background in steelconstruction
